We have developed a wide-ranging partnership with Hyatt that continues to grow year-on-year. Core to this is establishing World of Hyatt as Official Hotel Partner of London Restaurant Festival’s since 2015. Aside from the rights of association benefits we focus on creating experiences that meet the objectives stated above. For example we now operate two events Ultimate Gastronomic Weekends where 150 people stay in the Hyatt properties and enjoy a weekend-long experience of five different gastronomic events. Hyatt achieves revenue from room nights.

Gastro have also created a strand of events under the Eat…. strapline. This began with Eat Film – a small film festival at The Andaz featuring food-related films followed by dinner – and was followed in 2017 with the launch of Eat Talk. A series of early evening Q&As with well-known chefs held at the Hyatt Churchill in Mayfair. We will be developing this in the years ahead.

We also host wine tastings in the Andaz and the high-profile London Restaurant Festival Awards at the Hyatt Churchill. For both Hyatt achieves revenue from room hire.

The partnership developed further in 2018 as Gastro created, and managed, a dining experience for the 50 highly valued members of the Hyatt Loyalty Programme.

Exploring how we can work with Hyatt properties worldwide Gastro has started to create Gastro-Tourism itineraries, which can benefit a variety of our partners. This launched in 2018 with a six-day Gastronomic Tour of Thailand involving Hyatt, Thai Airways, Thai Tourism Authority, American Express and The Evening Standard. Over 25,000 people entered.

In 2019 we will be expanding this programme.

We will also be working with a third significant Hyatt property in London when it launches in 2019.
